The Awards Ceremony
    The climax of the week's events is the presentation of the Cannabis Cup awards.  This year ten cups were given for the best marijuana, hashish, show booth, seed store, hemp fashion, coffeeshop and a final cup (THE Cannabis Cup) given to whatever the judges choose, person, place, or product.  This event is the culmination of years of work by the companies involved and days of testing by 1500 judges.  The fierce competition, especially among the seed companies and coffeeshops, was evident by the intense lobbying which included giving out sample product (many pounds total) at the 4:20 council, to the Celebrity judges (hoping for endorsements), and at various other venues and events.
    This year's awards were dominated by the Greenhouse whose new coffeeshop and seed company won.  De Dampkring also did well, winning The Cannabis Cup and several of their cannabis offerings won for both hash and grass.  The Ohio Hempery also won awards for best booth and best hemp products.
