Poem by Paul "cheech" Shirer

As I lay here in this serene poppy field for one,
I take a casual note of how the cool wet ground squishes between my toes.
As I look up to Geisha's sky,
I become enveloped in her tie-dyed clouds.
I have pondered my own existence, I have fathomed my blind faith,
but yet, I still can't imagine why in this once beautiful world anyone can hate.
Have my blistered eyes grown too peaceful to comprehend society's troubling ways?
Has my heart become too much in love with this land to worry about what lies ahead?
My God, thank you............................they have.
