ROAD OF FREEDOM

On the road of freedom
tree's and grass are growing
in the air birds are singing
and I’m down here dreaming
wondering if the song is changing
or if I’m just falling behind

Should I go left
or should I go right
either way I don’t mind really
I just want to see the light

Some people say we are born to die
I just think its time to fly .

This is what's wrong with the world
this is why we all see things so blurred
murder, bombs, tear gas, and gun's
they can't give you life
so leave it to the movies

Women giving themselves to every man
treating themselves like a empty can
std's, teen pregnancy, low self esteem
this is not life
so leave it to the movies

Doing drugs to free your mind
you have forgot that they ain't always kind
heroin, crack, speed, and smack
that's a one way ticket to a life of gone off the track
so leave it to the movies

Violence in a class room
little bobby is out because they found a tank in his locker
Robbery, rape, abuse, and manslaughter
that's a good way to find your self in a life full of bad karma
so leave it to the movies

ALL I NEEDED WAS A 25TH HOUR

Called her up on a Thursday night
See if she wanted to play

She's a pretty Red Haired lady
Got pretty eyes that just seem to shine

Ain't that funny how some one
just makes the night right

Katie likes my songs, loves my poems

Here comes that feeling again
Depression in my mind is setting in
Lost with out love, I have wrote about it before
it digs in me right down to the core

Lets just be friends, Lets spare the expense
is it something about me or all just a coincidence?
I think I'd rather get hurt in the long run
than be hurt all the time always looking for fun

I'm not looking for just sex and no love

I don't need all these drugs in my mind

I need a smart girl not the slutty type

I don't know what it is about me that know one wants to love

I can't just bring myself to flat out ask a girl out
I try and write songs but she don't know what its about

Well I went to bed late last evening with a wine glass in my hand and some acid
in my head

I didn't know if this life was real
or all just pretend

It could have been a dream I don't know where I have been,

I could have been to space or some other cosmic place

Time seemed to stop we all need a little more pot

Walls coming down
my god lights melting around me
a truck passes me but stays there for 3 or 4 more seconds
birds talking
airplanes swimming
